Bio


Leslie Deere is an artist, immersive technologist and postdoctoral researcher at Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London exploring digital performance through a multidisciplinary practice. Bridging physical and virtual realms, Deere's work draws on her academic journey from Dance to Sonic Arts (BA Hons) through the Royal College of Art (Acoustic Images Pathway MA) to Glasgow School of Art (XR Performance PhD). Her audiovisual performances and sound installations have been featured at international venues including BFI, MoMA PS1, CCA Glasgow, Whitstable Biennale and Kew Gardens. Deere’s current work explores how creative forms of XR can extend artistic expression and wellbeing, weaving technologies with embodied performance to create meaningful dialogue between digital systems and live presence.
