Bio


Dr Leslie Deere, Postdoctoral researcher at Guildhall School of Music & Drama and doctoral examiner and supervisor at the University of Ghent, explores digital performance through mer multidisciplinary practice. Bridging physical and virtual realms, her work draws on her academic journey from Dance to Sonic Arts (BA Hons) through the Royal College of Art (MA) to Glasgow School of Art (PhD). Her audiovisual performances and sound installations have been featured at international venues including BFI, MoMA PS1, CCA Glasgow, Whitstable Biennale and Kew Gardens. Deere’s research investigates how creative immersive environments enhance wellbeing and artistic expression, weaving technologies with embodied performance to create meaningful dialogue between digital systems and live presence.
